Terms of Use

1. Acceptance of These Terms

By creating an account or using the Jambo platform in any way, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use. If you do not agree, please do not use the platform.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old to register for or use a Jambo account. By registering, you confirm that you meet this requirement.

3. Your Account

You are responsible for keeping your account credentials secure and for all activity that occurs under your account. You agree to provide accurate, current information when registering, and to keep it up to date.

Each person may hold only one Jambo account. Creating multiple accounts to circumvent platform rules, restrictions, or penalties is prohibited.

4. Host Responsibilities

If you list a room on Jambo, you confirm that:

• You have the legal right to offer the property for short-term rental.
• The listing accurately describes the property, its condition, and its amenities.
• The property is safe, habitable, and complies with any applicable local laws and regulations.
• You will honor confirmed bookings, except as permitted under the Payment Policy.

5. Guest Responsibilities

If you book a room on Jambo, you agree to:

• Provide accurate information when making a booking.
• Respect the property and follow the host's reasonable house rules during your stay.
• Pay for your booking in full through the Jambo platform.

6. Prohibited Conduct

The following are strictly prohibited on Jambo:

• Listing a property you do not have the legal right to rent out, or that is used for any illegal purpose.
• Discrimination against any user on the basis of race, gender, religion, nationality, disability, sexual orientation, or any other protected characteristic.
• Fraud or misrepresentation, including fake listings, fake reviews, or false information provided to another user or to Jambo.
• Harassment, threats, or abusive behavior directed at any other user, including through Jambo's messaging system.
• Attempting to arrange payment outside the Jambo platform for a booking made through Jambo.
• Creating multiple accounts to evade a suspension, restriction, or penalty.
• Uploading content -- photos, descriptions, or messages -- that is illegal, offensive, or infringes on the rights of others.

7. Content You Provide

When you upload photos, descriptions, or other content to a listing, you grant Jambo a license to display that content on the platform for the purpose of operating the service. You remain responsible for ensuring you have the right to share it.

8. Reviews

Reviews must reflect your genuine experience as a guest or host. Jambo may remove a review that violates this policy or the prohibited conduct rules above.

9. Suspension and Termination

Jambo reserves the right to suspend or terminate an account that violates these Terms of Use, including the prohibited conduct listed in Section 6.

10. Jambo's Role and Limitation of Liability

Jambo is a marketplace that connects hosts and guests. Jambo does not own, manage, or inspect the properties listed on the platform, and is not responsible for the actual condition, safety, or legality of a listed property. Jambo's role in payment processing is described separately in the Payment Policy.

11. Payments

All payments, host payouts, and cancellation terms are governed by Jambo's Payment Policy, available separately on the platform.

12. Governing Law

These Terms of Use are governed by the laws of Côte d'Ivoire. Any dispute arising from your use of Jambo will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Côte d'Ivoire.

13. Changes to These Terms

Jambo may update these Terms of Use from time to time. Continued use of the platform after changes are published constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
