Booking Policy

Jambo

Techno|BOSS Ltd — operating the Jambo platform
Effective date: 23 October 2026

1. Scope

This policy explains how booking a room on Jambo works: who can book, how a booking is made and confirmed, check-in and check-out, changes, cancellations and reviews. It applies to every booking made through the Jambo platform.

2. Who Can Book

To book a room you must be at least 18 years old and have a Jambo account. Before you can book, you need to:

  1. Verify your email address using the link we send you after registration.
  2. Complete your profile, including your address, postal code and phone number.
  3. Provide the name, email address and phone number of the primary guest who will stay in the room.

3. Making a Booking

3.1 Dates and Availability

Choose your arrival and departure dates on the room page. The arrival date cannot be in the past and the departure date must be after the arrival date. A room can only be booked for dates that are not already booked or blocked by the host.

3.2 When Your Dates Are Secured

A booking holds the room only once your payment is completed and the booking shows as Confirmed. Hosts do not accept or decline bookings: every paid booking is confirmed automatically. Starting a booking or reaching the checkout page does not reserve the dates.

3.3 Unfinished Bookings

If you leave checkout without paying, you can resume your unfinished booking for 30 minutes. After that it expires and you will need to start again, subject to availability.

3.4 Confirmation and Booking Reference

Once your payment is confirmed, you receive a booking reference and a confirmation email at the primary guest email address. Keep your booking reference: you will need it for any request to us.

4. Prices, Discounts and Vouchers

The price per night is set by the host. Prices are shown in your chosen currency for convenience; how payments are settled is explained in the Payment Policy.

A discount set by the host for a room is applied automatically when it is active. A voucher can be used once per account and cannot be combined with a discount: if a discount applies to your booking, the voucher is not applied.

5. Guests and Occupancy

The number of guests must not exceed the maximum occupancy shown on the room listing. Jambo verifies the identity of hosts and guests, and you may be asked to provide identification.

6. Check-in and Check-out

Unless the listing states otherwise, check-in is from 3:00 PM and check-out is by 12:00 noon.

Contact your host through Jambo before you travel to agree your arrival time and how to access the property, and follow any house rules shown on the listing.

7. Changing a Booking

Bookings cannot currently be modified online. To change your dates, cancel your booking if it is still eligible for free cancellation and make a new booking, subject to availability.

8. Cancellations and Refunds

8.1 Cancelling as a Guest

You can cancel a confirmed booking for free from your dashboard up to 48 hours before arrival. After that, the conditions in section 5.2 of the Payment Policy apply.

8.2 No-Show and Early Departure

A guest who does not arrive, or who leaves earlier than booked, is treated as cancelling after the free cancellation window.

8.3 Cancellations by the Host

If a host cancels a confirmed booking, the guest is notified by email and refunded in full. The conditions that apply to hosts are set out in section 6 of the Payment Policy.

9. Host Responsibilities for Confirmed Bookings

Hosts do not accept or decline bookings. Every paid booking is confirmed automatically, so it is up to the host to keep the status and availability of each room up to date.

The host agrees to:

  1. Keep the room status accurate: leave a room as Available only when it can be booked, and set it to Maintenance or Hidden when it cannot. Rooms that are not Available are not shown in the room listings.
  2. Keep the availability calendar up to date by blocking dates on which the room cannot be offered.
  3. Have the room ready on arrival and as described in the listing.
  4. Answer guest messages sent through Jambo.

If a host has to cancel a confirmed booking because the room was not actually available, section 8.3 applies.

10. Reviews

After a completed stay, the guest can review the room and the host can rate the guest. Each stay can be reviewed once, and a review needs a rating and a written comment of at least 20 characters.

11. Disputes

If something is wrong with your booking, first contact your host through Jambo. If it cannot be resolved, email [email protected] with your booking reference.

12. Changes to This Policy

Jambo may update this policy from time to time. Continued use of the platform after changes are published constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
